To encourage the pursuit of our talents and authenticity, I am putting my money where my mouth is and producing tracks and releasing them when possible for guest episodes. This week was Iden Crockett. @MyNameIsIden @cdjunky @beverly_chill_z
Iden is a genuine Renaissance person. Her art is like a nuclear explosion and a flower blooming rolled in one. Iden came out under challenging circumstances as EMT, Paramedic/first responder. As a former first responder, Iden's story resonated with me. The difficulties in expressing yourself or taking on toxic masculine traits that prevent people from living their true authentic selves in this environment are something that we need to address. In addition, we must care for the mental well-being of those responders exposed daily to most people's one traumatic event in their lifetime. We ask them to save us; it is only fitting to ensure we do the same.
Regarding the pursuit of living your authentic life, the freedom from the mental chains only strengthens these responders, whatever their gender or orientation. We must let people live authentically; anything else is a slap in the face of whomever or whatever made you. We're perfectly imperfect.
