Alissa Musto

Musician/Singer/Songwriter

Growing up in a family of professional musicians, Alissa Musto knew how to read music before she knew how to read. At 4 years old, she'd wait by the door and beg her father, a real "piano man", to take her to work with him. He promised if she learned to play the piano, she'd someday be able to. Less than a year later, Alissa won her first classical piano competition performing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and at 9 years old, appeared on the national TV series, America's Most Talented Kid.
Influenced by singer-songwriters like Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Carole King and Ben Folds, as well as modern pop artists like Lana del Rey and Lorde, Alissa's music has been described as “hauntingly beautiful”, “captivating”, “poignant, authentic” and “the millennial ballad of the century”, while she has been praised as a “jazzy-folk songwriting genius”, “your generation’s Billy Joel" and a "rising star of jazz", while opening for Wynton Marsalis. She has been featured in The Washington Post, Conde Nast Traveler, Insider, Refinery29, Reader's Digest, SiriusXM Radio, Localish (ABC's national lifestyle network), as well as dozens of music publications. She has been nominated New England Music Awards "Songwriter of the Year" and is a Boston Office of Arts and Culture grant recipient. In addition to piano, Alissa plays bass guitar, drums and ukulele and is sponsored by Lanikai Ukuleles.

Originally from Massachusetts, Alissa was crowned Miss Massachusetts in 2016 and went on to place in the top 15 at the n… Read More
