Artist, writer, and poet Iden Crockett works with mixed media, digital media, and photography to create intensely personal pieces of art. Her words and her pictures tell the story of her experience as a first responder, her journey through ptsd, depression and the discovery of her identity as a transgender woman.
She is the author of two illustrated volums of poetry: Black, White, and Red All Over and Not DED, ASLEEP. available on amazon.com. She is also the author of the award winning monthly column “My Name is Iden”.
She lives in Yellow Springs, OH with her wife and three children.
